Ice Ice Baby…
The Toddlers at Play Out have been busy exploring ice and a range of tools…
The toddlers were given a selection of tools and diggers to see if they were able to break into the ice. The children were asked what they think is inside, lots of children guessed they were animals but were unsure what sort of animal… they couldn’t wait to break the ice to see!
The children worked as a team to help the animals escape. They were communicating with one another asking for different tools to see which would work best to help the animals escape.
Throughout this activity the children were able to develop hand-eye coordination, fine/gross motor skills and speech and language.
