Chalk Painting
Today the babies have been painting using chalk.
The children were able to explore the textures as the tips of their fingers pushed against the paint, creating marks across the paper. They then made larger marks using paintbrushes. One child said “colour” the adult then named each colour to which they repeated.
The children are given these learning opportunities as painting is a way for children to convey ideas, express emotion, use their senses and explore colours.
